Our aim is to provide a friendly atmosphere where people living with dementia and their carers can socialise in a supportive way with one another.

A pudding evening will be held.

There will be deserts, cheese and biscuits and a quiz at the church on High Street in aid of the Well Project.


 

Ackworth Choir Perfomance

King’s Croft, Pontefract

Ackworth Choir will be performing.

“A Black Tie Affair” – music from James Bond and the Swing Era, featuring the choir, outstanding soloists and band.

The ticket price of £15 includes a steak pie supper.

Our Community Cinema is showing Summer Holiday Sing-Along.

Doors open at 6.30pm with tickets available on the door (£5 Adult/£3 Under 16/ £15 Family Ticket – 2 Adults and 2 Under 16’s).

Town Festival

July 21st and 22nd 2017

South Kirkby

The town’s annual Community Festival will be held.

Events will include music at the Grove Hall on Stockingate and a gala day and party at Barnsley Road Recreation Ground.


Family Fun Day

Saturday 22nd July 2017

12 noon to 4pm

Pontefract Rugby Club


A family fun day will help raise funds to improve care in neonatal units across Yorkshire.

The event is in aid of the Supporters of Families and Babies organisation (SOFAB).

It will include rides, stalls and inflatables, as well as face painting, falconry, a cake competition.

There will also be appearances from chidlren’s characters Spongebob, Olaf, and Minion Stuart.
